SPONSOR INFORMATION | back

Dear sponsor,

In order to be clear regarding contact with your sponsor child, we hereby give you some directives:

  • The Foundation will do all correspondence if you would like to send a letter or a card to your sponsor child. To keep your privacy, it is advisable  not to exchange adresses with the mother or child. Some mothers will ask for favours and things that has nothing to do with the education of the child. Although it is not allowed, it happens all the time. When we receive letters like that, we return them and ask for another, we don’t want to stimulate that behaviour; most sponsors don’t like to receive letters like that and we don’t like to burden the sponsors.
  • School report forms, drawings and letters are  received and send to the sponsor through the Foundation.
  • If you like to send or give something to the child like a letter or present, we can also take care of that by mail or personal. Every year someone goes to Kenya or gifts are send to the Foundation there.
  • After every schoolterm in April, August and December, the sponsor will receive a reportform, letter or drawing from the child and mother or guardian, together with our Newsletter: JARIDA la KENYA (No. 4, August 2007, 1,0 MB, Word document)
  • The date for the first payment takes effect on the 1st of the next month after mailing the application form on the website; in order to give the sponsor time to make arrangements with the Bank for a standing order. If the form was send on 15th August 2006; first payment is on 1st of September 2006.
